Seasonal and sustainable

When we set up Blooming Happy we put sustainability at the heart of our promise because we believe in making a big impact at your wedding, not on the planet. Here are some of the things we’re doing already:

· We get creative with wire, water or agra wool and never use floral foam.

· We avoid single-use plastic where possible.

· We like to reuse our equipment stock, such as vases, pots and urns.

· We source equipment both second-hand and from local creatives.

Make Flowers Count

To reduce waste, we buy in only the exact amount of flowers needed.

Flower Suppliers

We’re absolutely blooming with pride to be working alongside some incredible local flower farms, including Ashwell Flower Farm, Pulvertoft Flower Farm, Saxongate Flower Farm, The Walled Garden, Haylane Flower Farm — with many more lovely growers to come. Their British-grown flowers are 100% sustainably nurtured, bringing us beautifully seasonal, characterful blooms throughout the year. We’re committed to sourcing more and more of our flowers this way, so if you’re dreaming of a sustainable, home-grown feel for your wedding flowers, we’d love to chat and make it happen.

For the rest of our blooms, we work with our trusted Dutch supplier, Heemskerk, who champions growers with recognised sustainability certifications. This means no pesticides, minimal and thoughtful packaging, and flowers packed in full containers to reduce both cost and environmental impact — so you can enjoy gorgeous blooms with a clear conscience.
